The Trail del Marchesato running race is organized by ASD Trailrunners Finale Ligure, with the constant voluntary support of the firefighters of the Savona Provincial Command. The race is dedicated to the memory of Senior Squad Leader Ermano Fossati, a firefighter who died in the line of duty while providing assistance in an accident on Melogno Pass. The path on which the race takes place is also dedicated to the memory of Ermano Fossati.

The Trail del Marchesato unfolds along the ‘Ermano Fossati’ trail in Finale Ligure (SV, Liguria, Italy) and is the result of collaboration among numerous local rescue associations coordinated by the Firefighters of the Savona Provincial Command.
In addition to being a major sporting event, the Trail holds added social value as it proves, year after year, to be a significant opportunity to field-test the harmonious collaboration among all rescue entities within our territory.
